My favorite part of each of my sessions is hearing my couple’s unique love stories. This couple met in middle school, and have been together since they were just thirteen years old. They decided to privately exchange vows at Maymont Park in Richmond, VA. The forecast was clear, until the morning of the session when storms rolled in to town. We went back and forth on whether or not to reschedule, but I ended up wrapping my camera in a plastic bag and pushing through! The results were so worth every second in the hot, humid, RVA weather.
The session started off with a first look in front of the mansion followed by portraits.
I cannot get over how these two looked at each other the entire session! They did not stop smiling and laughing with each other from start to finish.
The couple privately exchange vows under a tree off in the distance, and then we made our way to the Italian Gardens to finish the session.
Congratulations to this sweet couple and thank you for sticking it out through the storms for this shoot!
I had the most whimsical, dreamy engagement shoot with Edwin and Zee. Golden hour in Colonial Williamsburg is a cottagecore dream, and we were able to find several gardens blooming that were perfect for the occasion. Most of my sessions in CW always include stops at the Governor’s Palace, the gardens, and all of the surrounding fields. This shoot was no exception! Here are some shots from this lovely spring evening.
Right before sunset, we changed outfits into a more casual look to head to the flower garden for a couple final shots.
Congratulations Zee and Edwin on your engagement! I look forward to seeing where your journey together takes you. Thank you for this fun session! It is always an honor to capture a love story like yours!
